General Decription

Diethylene Glycol (DEG) is a viscous, clear, hygroscopic, odorless, sweet-tasting liquid.
It is miscible in water, alcohol, ethylene glycol, acetone, toluene, carbon tetrachloride, among others. One of its main qualities is to lower the freezing point of the water, thus being used as an antifreeze base.
Denser than water. Contact may slightly irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. May be slightly toxic by ingestion.
